About Group Get to Know it.

NIRVANA was founded in 1985 by Kurt Cobain, Chad Channing and Krista Novoselic
NIRVANA's sudden international success drew public attention to the Seattle grunge scene and sparked a wave of copycats. The media called NIRVANA "the flagship of Generation X" and Cobain himself the "voice of the generation." Cobain himself had suddenly fallen down from the head of the popularity of discomfort: he saw himself first and foremost representatives of the independent rock scene, and was irritated that he became the idol of the masses.

In Utero

Some of the songs on the album were written long before the recording; some of them were written in 1990. The use of a long title like "Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle" was a kind of Cobain's reaction to alternative rock bands of the time that used only one word in their titles.
